Florida Window Tint Laws – What You Need to Know
In Clermont and throughout Florida, state law regulates how dark your window tint can be:
- Front Windows (All Vehicles)
- Rear Windows
- Sedans: Must allow at least 15% VLT.
- SUVs & Trucks: Can be darker, with a minimum of 6% VLT.
The front side windows must allow at least 28% Visible Light Transmission (VLT). Windshield tinting is only permitted above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line.
